Wedding Dance Lessons for Celebrities 2017 Volume 1
In the first segment of Wedding Dance Lessons for Celebrities, we wanted to explore some first dance ideas for different well known couples. We had so much fun with last year’s weddings of celebrities we decided to do it again for 2017! For these famous couples, they have been on the mysterious side with wedding details, however, we have an idea as to how things happened knowing their personalities. Whether or not they took wedding dance lessons or how they danced still remains unknown to us. So, we thought it would be fun to come up with some first dance ideas that we would want to see from these couples. We hope you enjoy our first dance ideas!

Wedding Dance Lessons Couple #1:
Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski
First Dance Song: Rose of My Heart by Johnny Cash
Wedding: March 12, 2017
The ever so sweet Amanda Seyfried married her partner and co-star Thomas Sadoski during an intimate ceremony mid March. Quoting Sadoski, “We eloped. We took off into the country with an officiant and just did our thing. It was beautiful. It was everything that it should be. Just the two of us talking to each other… She’s the person that I love, admire, and respect most in the world.” Seyfried has portrayed the perfect bride in many romantic movies, one being Mamma Mia where the extravagant wedding is not for her character. Perhaps she is a bit more like Sophie than originally presumed.
There are not many public details of the celebrity elopement however I imagine the couple dancing to Johnny Cash’s Rose of My Heart with only the night stars twinkling and dancing among them. With their baby arriving shortly after the ceremony they kept the dancing to a graceful and elegant waltz. The quiet wedding will be a great story to tell baby Sadoski one day!
Wedding Dance Lessons Couple #2:
Alison Brie & Dave Franco
First Dance Songs: Fun Mash Up
-The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra
-Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran
-Can’t Stop The Feeling by Justin Timberlake
Wedding: March 2017
The comedic celebrity couple managed to pull off a secret wedding, which is nearly impossible in Hollywood! Once again not many details have been given about the ceremony however with the two being as outlandish that they are I have an idea as to what may have happened. There’s no doubt that Alison and Dave had the perfect mash up for their first dance with the wedding party joining in the end.
The bride and groom started with a classic foxtrot to Frank Sinatra’s The Way You Look Tonight. This slow start created an intimate moment shared just between the bride and groom. Shortly in, the song smoothly mixed into Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran. The two nailed every choreographed move as if they were straight from the music video themselves. Around a minute and half and before hitting the floor moves the mash up makes another change – this time to Cant Stop The Feeling by none other than Justin Timberlake. The wedding is filled with celebrities so of course JT is in attendance and gets a blushing smile. The newlyweds break into a perfectly in sync (get it?) hip-hop routine. As the crowd of celebrities watch in admiration James Franco stands and begins his own moves. Is the best man attempting to upstage the newlyweds? Many believe so until the maid of honor joins. Before they know it the entire wedding party has joined the dance floor flash mob style! Such a fun first dance for a fun couple.
Wedding Dance Lessons Couple #3:
Idina Menzel and Aaron Lohr
First Dance Songs: Two Dances
-Por Una Cabeza from Scent of a Woman
-Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Elvis Presley
Wedding Date: TBD Engaged 2016
“As if this week couldn’t get any better I have wonderful news… my man and I are engaged!” Menzel tweeted.
Can you image a more theatrical couple? Originally performing together in RENT this future bride and groom are no novice to dancing. Although their wedding has not yet happened I could not pass the opportunity of planning their first dance. Idina and Aaron are the type of couple who give a show for their every day life therefore their wedding dance must be of epic proportions, even wowing their guests with a surprise encore.
The two should start off the reception with a fierce and sexy Argentine Tango to “Por Una Cabeza”. Many twists and tricks will be involved! If you don’t recognize the song title perhaps you will know it from Al Pacino’s Scent of a Woman movie scene. After getting the room worked up with this perfectly executed routine the reception will go on with the guests filling the dance floor themselves. Post dinner and speeches the newlyweds should then end the night with a fun swing routine to Elvis Presley’s Crazy Little Thing Called Love. Idina, come in to Bella Ballroom and we can teach you every lift, twist, and flip you can imagine to make your wedding perfect!
