Wedding Dance FAQ
Q: When should we begin our wedding dance lessons?
A: We recommend starting your dance classes 2-5 months before your wedding date. If you are planning to learn multiple dances or a more involved first dance, we recommend starting 6-12 months prior to your wedding.
Q: Our wedding is in one week! Can you help us?
A: While we recommend starting your dance classes sooner rather than later, we definitely can take care of our “last minute” couples. Contact us right away so we can get you in!
Q: We want a “WOW!” dance routine like we’ve seen on “Dancing with the Stars.” Can you teach us that?
A: Yes, we can! Our professional teachers are very experienced dancers and trained in all of the popular dances like: Swing, Waltz, Salsa, Tango, Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Rumba, Jive—just to name a few. We can even help you with some Hip Hop flair, Country two-step dancing, or even “old-school” throw back dance moves.
Q: We don’t have our First Dance song selected. Can you help us?
A: Absolutely! We have a large library of music and we’re happy to help you find a song that reflects your style, personalities and love for each other.
Q: We don’t want to look too over-rehearsed or choreographed for our first dance. Can we learn to dance together without having to memorize a difficult routine?
A: Yes! Our dance studio philosophy is that couples don’t necessarily need to memorize a routine to look fantastic for their first dance. Couples can learn fun dance patterns to go with their song that look fancy and cool, but are actually very easy to do. We’ll show you easy lead and follow techniques, so that you can dance together smoothly, gracefully and without stress.
Q: My fiancé /I have “two-left-feet.” Is there any hope for us?
A: Yes, of course! We’re experts in teaching couples who have no prior dance experience. We realize, for many people, the idea of learning to dance is very unnerving so we strive to make our dance lessons as fun and easy as possible!
