My husband (I love saying that!) and I arrived at Bella Ballroom only two weeks before our big day. Neither one of us had ever had formal dance lessons, and at the time it’s safe to say that I was looking forward to our first dance much more than he was. Not only did we finish the lesson completely confident that we would be ready to go come wedding day, but we realized that our parents (especially fathers) would probably feel much more at ease if they could get a lesson ahead of time (not to learn a choreographed dance, but to learn “how to move” as my mother would say). So the six of us took a lesson together one week before the wedding and had a ball. The lesson was completely tailored to what we as individuals felt comfortable learning and we all look back with fondness and a chuckle at what a sweet and fun experience it was. TIPS: 1) focus on learning as many variations of basic moves as you can instead of trying to learn one long choreographed dance. For example, my husband and I focus on learning 3 types of twirls and how to move around the dance floor (not just swaying in one spot) simply by following the same basic steps. This way, the groom can lead the bride in a more spontaneous, enjoyable way throughout the evening. Believe me, it takes all the pressure off of having to memorize anything and is probably much more natural for the guests to watch. You can just relax and enjoy the dancing! 2) Use as much time as needed for the groom to feel more comfortable in knowing how to cue the bride as to where he’s leading her. This is all done through the hands and body movement (not the eyes). Because we focused on these basics in the lesson, we were able to spontaneously practice at home (even without music because there was no set choreography). I highly recommend trusting Bella Ballroom to help you have the perfect dance, and I especially recommend it for those who claim to have two left feet…not only is there hope, but Bella Ballroom will save you.
As the father of the bride, I took wedding dance lessons at Bella Ballroom in preparation for my father/daughter dance. The instructors at Bella made me look like a professional as I danced with pride and grace with my daughter on her wedding night. We danced to two songs, the first portion a smooth and sweet fox trot and the second was a red-hot swing that brought the house down. Our dance was so good the band told me: “in 30 years of playing weddings, I have never seen a father daughter dance like that one”!!! If you are a father with two left feet or one who has a little swing and swagger to your step, you must take lessons at Bella Ballroom as they will bring out the dancer in you — but more importantly — make your daughter smile with pride. Be a cool dad and take dance lessons with your daughter – its worth every penny and you will never regret the special practice time with her on the dance floor!
My mother in law purchased a gift certificate and we were at first not sure if we would like it. Especially my fiancé. He didn’t really want to do it. After our first session, we were pleasantly surprised how fun it was. Our instructor, Ziva, was fabulous! She took us through steps and easy bite size pieces; she was patient, and professional. Id highly recommend this studio
My Fiancé and I are currently taking lessons at Bella Ballroom Dance Studio with Tayler and it has been an awesome experience. My fiancé has little dancing skills and Tayler is able to make learning super fun and easy. The goal for our first dance routine is a little ambitious but Tayler is able to make it possible to accomplish! She’s even managed to make my fiancé hate salsa a little less! The studio is open late, which accommodates our schedule since we both work until the evening. It is also very clean and well kept and the entire staff there is super friendly. We recommend Tayler, and the Bella Ballroom Dance Studio to any one who wants to wow the crowd!

Worth it and fun! My husband and I took 5 lessons for our wedding first dance. Not only did we learn a great little number but it was a great thing to do leading up to the big day and spending time together. Tayler was awesome and super fun to work with 🙂
My fiancé (now husband) and I wanted to impress our guests with a special first dance. We wanted something a little more than the typical slow dance, so we enlisted the help of Jennelle. After our first meeting, we knew that if anyone could teach us how to dance, it was her. She was so friendly and patient, we looked forward to each lesson. Each week, she taught us a new step or move, making sure we were comfortable before moving on to the next. On our wedding day, we danced in front of our audience of 100 without a hitch. We owe this all to Jennelle and her ability to teach a dance, and not simply a routine. We had a blast learning our dance and will always remember our first dance as husband and wife.
I’ve been taking lessons with Jennelle for over 2 yrs. now with my husband. She is an excellent teacher & dancer and made the tough chore of first learning to dance wonderful. She is very clear in communicating dance steps, technique and styling. She is very in tune to what the student needs and will adjust the level to suit them while still keeping it challenging if need be. She’s very fun to learn from and I absolutely recommend her to anyone – even if you have two left feet.
I was looking for immediate help for my wedding dance. I had a month until my wedding and I found Bella Ballroom just by looking up through a Google search.
