When my then fiancé and I decided to take dance lessons for our wedding, we had no idea what we were in store for when we decided to give Bella Ballroom a call. I called late at night, at about 9:30pm, figuring I would leave a voice message and hear back in the morning. I did leave a message, but received a very friendly return call from Jennelle no more than ten minutes after I left the message. It immediately became clear that this place was all about superior customer service. We went in for our free consultation with Tayler, and we immediately fell in love with her positive attitude, and easy, friendly, and kind approach to help get us started. Neither my now husband and I had any dance experience, but Tayler was able to work with us accordingly. My husband was very hesitant and nervous about learning any dance moves, thinking he was uncoordinated and unable to live up to what we might expect, but boy, once he got into it with the direction of Tayler, he really shined and had an amazing time. He said it was the highlight of his week, looking forward to going to dance with me. The finished product was something out of a dream. Our dance came out perfectly, and everyone was so impressed. We had many guests come up to us and seriously and legitimately ask if we were trained by one of the instructors who trains the contestants on Dancing With the Stars. When I told them we just went to this cute little shop in Costa Mesa, their faces were priceless. We will continue to learn more dances at Bella Ballroom as we advance into our marriage. We are going to make a hobby out of it, because we have so much fun learning together, and really enjoy working with the staff at Bella Ballroom. Thank you Tayler and Bella Ballroom for everything!!

I have to start this review off by thanking Jennelle first!! Thank you for your patience with Tim and I- out of all the wedding planning and stresses associated- this was never one of them. We had a blast laughing with you when we would stumble over our feet, when I was out of rhythm, and my counting of steps during our lessons. Our first dance was pretty much amazing- I didn’t count my steps out loud, we did our sweet heart, front to back, twinkle toes, egg beater triple twirl, a princess twirl, and we nailed our final dip!!! So for all the newly engaged couples wanting to impress your guests- dancing lessons with Jennelle you will not regret- out of all your wedding decisions you will have to make- this will be your most favorite and fun experience you will have. I now have some most incredible memories with my husband, laughing with him as we practiced to our wedding day as he led me through our most magical part of our reception.
Bella Ballroom is the best! Tayler was our instructor and she is so much fun and easy to work with, we took 15+ classes and we felt like pros on the day of our wedding, everyone was in shock and so impressed! We didn’t know where to start but Tayler designed a dance with exactly the flair and fun yet classiness we wanted! Thank you Bella Ballroom and Tayler! You are the best!!
Wow! We were so impressed with the Bella Ballroom Studio. Our first dance for our wedding reception was not one of your typical ones, but our instructor Jill was so creative and helped to choreograph a dance sequence that was such a phenomenal hit at our wedding! Not to mention we had so much fun learning! Jennelle is also super sweet and we enjoyed getting to know her as well! We are already talking about taking more lessons because we enjoyed ourselves so much. My husband and I recommend Bella, they went over and beyond our expectations!
For our wedding back in Jan 2013, we decided to get a dance instructor since we were both terrible at dancing 😉 Jill taught us to some steps/flashy moves and people told us our dance was amazing/best they’ve seen 😀 She was very professional, patient, honest and taught us to dance in 2-3 months once a week. The prices are very fair and she promised we would be dancing like studs in max 10 lessons. I was a little pessimistic, but we were dancing really well by lesson 5 and had it memorized by lesson 8. Jill Thank You for Everything! The lessons were very enjoyable and it made our wedding extra special 🙂
Scenario: Needed a choreographed first dance for my wedding! Pros: - Jennelle! - Ballrooms are not crowded - Detailed and scheduled lesson itinerary Cons: - None….? In A Nutshell: Jennelle is awesome. Hands down. We had a short consultation lesson with her and we were able to nail down exactly what we wanted for our first dance. She asked all the right questions to make sure we would get the perfect dance, without overstepping our dancing skills (or lack thereof). Me being the overzealous bride decided on the Viennese Waltz…gods help us. Once we signed on, Jennelle helped us schedule all of our lessons in advance and then laid out what was to be expected at each lesson. There were no surprises and we knew what we were getting ourselves into at each lesson, which is exactly what I wanted. What was great is that at the end of each lesson, she would sit down with us and recap all of the moves we went through so that we could jot it down and practice at home. Overall, she’s great to work with. She doesn’t make you feel awkward or lame for not being a dancer, and she will take the time to walk you through steps over and over again until you get it. Patience. Of. A. Saint. I highly recommend!
We had a wonderful experience here learning our first dance for our wedding. Tayler was incredibly patient and taught us a great routine in only 5 sessions. Neither of us had every danced before but Tayler made it very simple. Everyone at Bella Ballroom was helpful and friendly – they were a pleasure to interact with. We would highly recommend Tayler as an instructor and had a great time working with her.
