Joel was awesome. My fiancé (now wife) and I took a few classes with him prior to our wedding. I even took a class with my mother to help prepare for our dance. Joel was absolutely fantastic. He did a great job of knowing and understanding our experience level. Definitely recommend going through Bella. Hope to do additional classes in the future!

My husband and I had a wonderful time with our dance lessons at Bella Ballroom. Coming from a former high school teacher, I want to especially praise our instructor, Jennelle, for what an incredible teacher she is. She is patient, encouraging, approachable and so fun. I had taken a few dance lessons years ago, but my husband had not. Jennelle’s methods were geared perfectly for our level of skill and our personalities. We took 5 lessons from Jennelle, and come wedding day our guests were amazed by our dance! And although we made a couple small mistakes, no one at the wedding had any clue because Jennelle doesn’t teach you one routine, she teaches you how to dance!! So we regrouped easily when we made even the slightest error. Thank you, Jennelle, for making our first dance such a wonderful part of our day. Hey Ziva. The first dance went great! We were nervous and I’m pretty sure I stepped on my dress once or twice, but you can’t tell in the videos! Everyone said we did great.
No other aspect of our wedding received as many compliments as our first dance!!! Let me back up… In the middle of all the wedding planning, I started thinking about our first dance and wondered, can we get beyond the holding and junior-high like clutching slow dance? So, on a whim I started looking up dancing lessons in Orange County and after reading a review or two of Bella Ballroom and several others, I emailed the instructors and found Bella Ballroom, aka Jennelle, to be the most personable… And she was! I expected a fairly old-y dancing instructor, but Jennelle definitely didn’t fit the mold. She’s young, hip, super sweet and bubbly and made us feel super comfortable right off the bat. And the dancing… after speaking with us about what kind of style dance we wanted, we dove right in and started working on different patterns. We signed up for the five lesson series, which was just about perfect for us because we took lessons every 2 or 3 Saturdays or so or as time permitted because our schedules were so difficult. In between lessons, we really did not get to practice but due to the way she teaches and tries to get our muscles to “memorize” the moves, we were able to just relax and enjoy the dance steps. One really great thing about Jennelle’s style is that she doesn’t force or create a routine for you to follow but she teaches specific patterns so that you and your partner can adjust as the music flows. Even if you miss a beat or your “cue” or whatever, it doesn’t really matter! On the day of, with just six lessons (we got one free because another couple opted to take lessons with Jennelle on our recommendation), we hit the dance floor with confidence. Let me just say: It was REALLY fun to dance with my husband. We were able to relax and just go through the moves without really worrying about where we were in the song or whether we missed a step. Better yet, everyone who commented on the dance thought we did have a routine and thought that we looked super natural! Yay! Mission accomplished… thank you thank you Jennelle!!
