Our experience at Bella Ballroom was my favorite part of the wedding. Jill and Jennelle took a bride with two left feet and turned her into a dancing queen. They were fun, easy to work with, listened to all my concerns and found a solution to everything. Because of them we rocked the house with our first dance! It was by far the most enjoyable aspect of wedding planning!!
For as long as I can remember I’ve had this weird phobia about being the center of attention and dancing in front of people. Didn’t help that I always thought my legs were stiff and I moved as if my legs were stuck in cement. As I got engaged and the wedding date was settled, I immediately started dreading/having nightmares about our first dance. My wife suggested we take some lessons/choreograph it instead of trying to improv the whole thing. BEST IDEA EVER. I did some searching on Yelp and found Bella Ballroom. We met Jennelle and was paired up for Jill. At first I was a little worried sharing this big dance floor with other dance instructors/students, but Jill made us feel so comfortable. After our free trial, she told us she could get us dancing like stars in at most 10 lessons. Most instructors I feel would want to keep you longer and make more money, but Jill was really honest and sweet. We were dancing really well by our 5th lesson and it was deeply ingrained in our muscle memory by the 7th or 8th one. Jill taught us some basic steps and threw in some flashy dance moves that really got the crowd going at our wedding. If you’re getting married soon and scared of first dance or don’t want to be that newly married couple awkwardly dancing at the reception. Try out Bella Ballroom. The teachers are great, skilled, honest, great with newbies, and really fairly priced as well! Can’t go wrong with that. Thanks Jennelle & Jill!
Jennelle was awesome! We took 6 classes with her and it was the right amount of prep. Being able to work just with an instructor (not in a large class with other couples) was perfect. We had a band for our wedding so Jennelle helped us learn the different steps and passes we could do so that we could just put them all together for the big day, as opposed to having a completely choreographed dance. Not only was our first dance perfect but we had a ton of fun taking the classes. We highly recommend Bella Ballroom (Jennelle) if you’re thinking of taking dance classes for your wedding!!
Jennelle is wonderful! She’s very sweet, friendly, and approachable. My wife and I went to her to learn our first dance for our wedding. We didn’t have any dance background. Her instructions were easy to learn, and she choreographed our entire first dance, turned out great! Easy to communicate with her via email or phone, prices were great too! Highly recommend Jennelle =)
As a guy, I wasn’t thrilled about spending an hour every week taking a “dance class,” but Jennelle’s dance instruction was great! She’s easy going and communicates clearly. She focuses on a few easy-to-understand steps at a time and then she helps you connect it all in the end to have a nice dance. She helped us with our first dance for our wedding. She not only helped us with the dance steps, but prepared us mentally for the actual dance on the day of our wedding. She spent time listening to our song and put together something that would really complement our song. That was a nice touch as it shows that she doesn’t just teach the same thing to a different song/different couple. She was also very helpful with scheduling. She can teach out of a few different locations which helped us out tremendously. I would definitely recommend the classes. It might seem like an unnecessary expense on top of all the other wedding expenses but when you have all of your friends and family looking at you in that moment–trust me–you’ll do whatever and pay whatever to look like you know what you’re doing.
