Monarch Beach
The Monarch Beach Resort located in Dana Point, California is a grand and spacious venue for outdoor wedding ceremonies as well as indoor and outdoor receptions. The timeless and elegant architecture paired with the natural, tropical outdoor beauty provides the perfect background for wedding photos and video. The hotel accommodates only outdoor ceremonies, but with four luscious settings to choose from, it cannot disappoint.
Their Grand Lawn, which accommodates up to 300 people, features a romantic ocean view background. The Pacific Lawn is a private circular space featuring a gazebo across from symmetrical curving staircases. This lawn can host up to 700 guests. Next, their Botanical Garden, blooming with tropical flowers and trees, is centered by a white marble gazebo, and accommodates 120 guests. Lastly, the Botanical Lawn has an oceanfront background and seats up to 120 people. Couples can choose to have their reception either inside one of the hotel’s ballroom, Club 19, their wine cellar and terrace, and Stonehill Tavern Private Dining Room. These spaces host between 24-700 guests so there is a perfect option for every event size. Wedding services include planning assistance, catering and alcohol options, cake, and lighting/sound setup.
My wedding at The St. Regis Monarch Beach was about as picture perfect as I could have imagine. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful and the ocean view is hard to beat. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. Leading up to the wedding, I worked with both Kelly (who no longer works there) and Jacqueline, and they were both wonderful to work with. They responded to my emails and questions promptly and were easy to get a hold of. Jacqueline was happy to meet with me leading up to the wedding day and go through all the details with me and my wedding planner. She even made sure I was able to check into my wedding suite on the morning of the wedding day so my bridesmaids and I were able to get ready in there! Jacqueline was happy to help in any way to make sure the day went smoothly. The dinner they served at the reception was delicious and the bartenders and waiters were great too!!
